According to the list given by NPCI site, 66 banks started using UPI service. Some banks have added UPI payment system in their old payment app, and some banks have their new app has launched.

As I mentioned above, WhatsApp payments are currently in beta phase so this feature is not yet available for all users but it will be available very soon.
Let’s learn how you can Setup a UPI Payments feature on WhatsApp and how you can transfer money to your friends with the help of the WhatsApp UPI payments feature.
Step 1: As soon as the WhatsApp UPI payments feature will be updated in your WhatsApp app, you will get the Payments option where you have to open WhatsApp settings. You have to click on that Payments option.
Step 2: Now you have to verify your own WhatsApp number. In this verification, it will be checked that these numbers are registered with which of your bank accounts and for this verification your mobile will automatically send an SMS which will be charged Rs 1.50 / -.
Step 3: Now the bank list will show up in front of you. Here you have to select the bank that has your bank account and the number of WhatsApp is registered with that bank account.
Step 4: Once you click on the bank, the setup of your WhatsApp UPI payments will be completed in a few seconds and then you have to tap the Done button.
Step 5: Now the WhatsApp Payments page will open in front of you where the WhatsApp payment feature will connect to the bank account show. You can also connect more bank accounts by tapping Add new account option and also check your payment history on this page.
Step 6: Now open the chat with any friend you want to transfer to the help of the WhatsApp payments feature, then tap on the attachment icon and tap on the Payment option.
Last Step: Now enter the amount you want to transfer to your friend and then enter your UPI PIN and confirm the payment. Once the UPI pin is confirmed, that amount will be directly transferred from your bank account to your friend’s bank account.
